The Vermontana, our 3rd model, was inspired by a famous Montana knife-maker - but these are locking folders, not offered in a fixed blade. This very ruggedly constructed knife has a 6061-T-6 aluminum handle with Dymondwood® inserts, but can be customized.

The Vermontana Folder is the folding version of the classic hunting knife. Some hunters prefer a folding knife; some prefer a fixed blade knife.
Fixed blade, full tang, hunting knives are inherently stronger than a folding knife. They are made out of one piece of metal that runs the full length of the handle. Folders are made from several pieces of metal. If you intend to use your knife to cut down trees, you need a fixed blade knife. Our folding knives are more that tough enough to handle years of dressing out all types of game.
The handle on this knife fits perfectly into the palm of your hand. The grip it provides gives you great control over the blade at all times.
